To connect FireLite to a FireWire 800 port on your Macintosh, first locate the beta (9-pin to 9-pin) cable that was included in your package. Using FireLite with Windows Your SmartDisk hard drive comes pre-formatted as HFS+, the preferred format when used exclusively with Apple Macintosh computers running Mac OS.
