Using the Blender’ features s Special Features The six speeds are Purée, Chop, Mix, Liquefy, Shake, and Smoothie. The blender has a “Pulse” button that is a controlled cycle operation. This means it operates only while the button is held down. All other speeds are continuous cycle operation. They operate continuously at whatever speed is selected until the “Off” button is pressed. Hints for Best Use tips • If using your blender to make salsa or other recipes using tomatoes, onions and other vegetables, you may have better results using a slower speed function or the pulse function. • Do not try to mash potatoes, mix stiff dough, whip egg whites, grind corn, raw meat, or extract juices from fruits and vegetables.
