USING YOUR DRIP COFFEEMAKER – PREPARING COFFEE 1. Place appliance on dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from any edge. 2. Plug cord into a 120 volt AC electric outlet only. 3. PROGRAMMING THE KEEP WARM HOURS SETTING FUNCTION (GLASS CARAFE VERSION ONLY) Use PROG/AUTO button to select the Keep Warm Hours setting function. The PROG/AUTO indicator light and the last set (programmed) 1-digit Keep Warm Hour LCD will be flashing. Note: The default value will be the last programmed Keep Warm Hours setting. AUTO-BREW Each press of the PROG/AUTO button will alternatively select between turning Auto- Brew on and Auto-Brew off. LCD Back-Light Setting Function: Upon initial connection to a power source or the resumption of power after a power failure the default setting is Auto-off. The blue back-light display will turn off after approximately one minute if the unit is off. The blue back-light display will remain on while the coffeemaker is brewing or in keep warm mode. The blue back-light display can be set to “Always on” by pressing the HOUR and MINUTE buttons at the same time for approximately five seconds.

DECALCIFYING YOUR DRIP COFFEEMAKER • The coffeemaker must be decalcified periodically. Over time, mineral deposits build up on internal parts and effect the operation of the appliance.
