Damper Stop Installation: For Use With All Other Fireplaces The Damper Stop provided keeps your damper from accidentally closing during operation of your set. Turn on the gas supply valve for no longer than 3-5 seconds. If bubbles appear in the soap solution applied to the joints, there is a leak. Turn off the gas supply valve and tighten those fittings.
