Selecting a Patch When you select a Patch, the sound assigned to each pad and the settings for MIDI, effect and pedal will all change instantly. Using a Footswitch to Select Patches By using a special cable (PCS-31; sold separately) to connect two footswitches (FS-5U; sold separately) to the FOOT SW jack, you can select Patches by remote control. What is the Layer Function? Layer means that two sounds are played simultaneously. The Layer setting is stored as part of each Patch. A Patch for which Layer is enabled will simultaneously play the sounds of both pad banks (A and B).
