9. During normal operation if the shower senses an overheated water temperature then the thermal cutout will switch off the heating elements. 7. If you have not yet done so, remove the front cover (complete with control knob) of the unit by undoing the retaining screws at the top and bottom of the unit and lifting the cover off. How to maintain your shower It is recommended that the shower unit, riser rail, hose etc. can be cleaned using a soft cloth and that the use of an abrasive or solvent cleaning fluid be avoided, especially on any plated finishes (650 chrome only).
