A Quick Start Guide for the MHS550 Follow these steps to get going! Marine Band 1. Rotate VOLUME until the display lights. The Power On tone sounds. The default display starts with the VHF Marine Band and displays USA Channel 16, at a 5 watt power level, and DISTRESS is displayed in the LCD message line area. . Press ▲ or ▼ to change channels.
