In the basic configuration, 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments are separate and do not intercommunicate. An optional DFE-260S switching module (in- cluded with the DFE-916x) can be installed in any hub in the stack, making it possible to transparently bridge between 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments.
