■ Control Panel Indicator Lamp STATUS: Lights (green) while the power to the cutting plotter is turned on, and is not lit when the cutting plotter is in PAUSE status. This lamp flashes when data is being received from an interface, regardless of whether or not the cutting plotter is in PAUSE status. 2.1 Connecting to Your Computer The cutting plotter can be connected to a computer via the serial (RS-232C) port or USB port. Select which port to use according to the requirements of your application software and/or which of your computer’s interface ports are available for use. 2.2 Turning on the Power Connect the cutting plotter to the AC electrical socket using the power cord provided, and turn on the power. Step 1 Check to confirm that the Power switch is turned off (the “O” side is down). Step 2 Connect the cutting-plotter AC power inlet to a correctly rated electrical socket using the power cord pro- vided. Step 2 Place the roll medium on the stand stock rollers, and then pass the leading edge of the medium from the back of the cutting plotter so it emerges from the front, while making sure to remove any slack in the medium conveyance path.
