1 4 Install the Ribbon Cartridge Note: Leave the ribbon shield on the cartridge! Make sure the printer is turned off. Slide the printhead to the center of the platen (1). Holding the ribbon cartridge as shown (2), fit the grooves in the flat end of the cartridge over the posts on the ribbon plate (3). Unsnap the paper separator from the housing, then swing it upright to the position illustrated (2): make sure the wire feed guide is against the separator.
