Chapter 2 • Terminal Setup Running Setup from a Download File The downloaded file is a compressed archive. After extraction using a utility such as WinZip or PKWARE, folders are created on the hard disk as shown in the following figure. Terminal Setup Connecting the Cradle The terminal download requires a serial connection between the terminal and the PC through a cradle. Connect the serial load cable from a serial port on the PC to the communications port of the terminal cradle or to a Casio terminal.
