Slide the battery cover in the direction of the arrow. Open the battery cover in the downward direction as the picture indicates. Insert the rechargeable battery as shown in the picture. You can recharge the player by connecting it to a USB port from the PC. A blinking icon indicates the battery is in need of recharging.
