ATTACHING THE LENS HOOD The lens hood is used to control stray light from entering the lens and causing flare. When using the camera under bright light, the use of 1 the lens hood is recommended. The lens hood should not be used with the built-in flash as it can cause a shadow. CHARGING THE BATTERY Before the camera can be used, the lithium-ion battery must be charged. Before charging the battery, read the safety warnings on page 4 of this manual.
