4. Assign Address and IRQ – The address and IRQ are set in the operating system that you are using. This is the final step of adding new hardware. See Chapter 4 for more details. 5. Set up the address (with dipswitches) and IRQ (jumpers) on the serial card to reflect unused addresses and IRQ’s that you want to use.
