G586SP/G586SP AIO Memory Installation The system board supports 2MB to 256MB of memory using 72-pin SIMMs (Single In-line Memory Module) with the following two types of memory and sizes: (1) Single-sided SIMMs: 1MB, 4MB, 16MB, and 64MB; (2) Double-sided SIMMs: 2MB, 8MB, and 32MB. G586SP/G586SP AIO Jumper JP2 Display Type Select Jumper JP2 sets the display adapter to color or mono. The default setting is On which is on the color mode. This jumper must match the type of display adapter installed. If you change your video adapter, make sure this jumper is changed accordingly. G586SP/G586SP AIO Jumper JP12 Password/CMOS Clear If you set a password in the CMOS “Password Setting” option and forgot your password, you can use the CMOS Clear function to return the CMOS back to default and reset your password. To reset your password, first power off the computer and set pins 2-3 to On. Wait at least one minute and set pins 1-2 to On, then turn on your computer. The password has now been cleared and the CMOS is back to its default. You may enter a new password and/or change
