Regular cleaning, as specified in the User Maintenance Instructions, is highly recommended. • Always use fresh, cold water in your Coffee Maker. • Store coffee in a cool, dry place. Firmly replace the removable filter basket by pushing it down into the filter basket cavity in the front of the Coffee Maker. Empty used coffee grounds and repeat steps for brewing coffee. CAUTION: Failure to allow Coffee Maker to cool may cause water to overheat and spray hot steam. The hot steam can cause severe burns. Unplug and allow to cool completely before cleaning. 3. Lift the Coffee Maker lid and remove the removable filter basket by the handle. Discard coffee grounds and paper filter.
