3. Lift and remove the battery. 4. Carefully slide the SIM card into the SIM card socket until the bottom of the card touches the bottom of the slot. Make sure that the card’s gold contacts face into the phone and that the upper-left angled corner of the card is positioned as shown. Charging a Battery Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. A travel adapter, which is used for charging the battery, is included with your phone. Use only approved batteries and chargers. Ask your local Samsung dealer for further details. You can use the phone while the battery is charging, but doing so requires additional charging time. Backlight A backlight illuminates the internal display and the keypad. When you press any key, the backlight comes on.
