Your phone Backlight The backlight illuminates the display and the keypad. When you press any key or open the phone, the backlight comes on. It goes off when no keys are pressed within a given period of time, depending on setting in the Back light menu (Menu 9.2.3). The display turns off after one minute to conserve battery power.
