USING INTERNAL BATTERY POWER You can power your SCP-98 from two AA batteries (not sup- plied). For the best performance, we recommend alkaline bat- teries, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 2

At this setting, the SCP-98 dis- plays the time in the 12-hour format and tunes frequencies in increments of 10 kHz (AM) and 0.1 MHz (FM), which are stan- dard in the United States. Then push the clip upward until it locks into place. Note: To protect your hearing, set – VOLUME + to its lowest setting before you turn on the radio. 1. To turn on the radio, set STEREO/MONO/TAPE to STEREO for stereo sound on FM stations.
