5 Using the Nortel Application Switch Element Manager Overview The Nortel Application Switch Element Manager (ASEM) provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for remotely managing a Nortel Application Switch through the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The left-hand tree control frame is used to display a list of switches that were connected to during previous sessions.
