Section 2 Hardware Installation 2.4 Cascading / Daisy Chaining of multiple KVM Switches The P16-IP can be cascaded with LINDY P-Series CPU switches only. It should not be used with LINDY PXT-Series CPU Switches. For all cascaded installations, the P16-IP should always be used as the MASTER switch. Section 3 KVM Switch Operation 3.2 Keyboard Hotkey Selection You can also conveniently select the computer to be accessed and displayed by switching ports through simple keyboard key sequences. To send commands to the KVM switch, the “SCROLL LOCK” key must be pressed twice within 2 seconds. You will hear a beep to confirm that the keyboard is in hotkey mode. The default SCAN time is 10 sec., the maximum scan time can be set to 99 sec, it cannot be less then 5 sec. k.
