1 Introduction Overview The HP 1x4 USB/PS2 KVM Switch is a four-port keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) switch combined with a two-port USB hub. As a KVM switch, four computers can be accessed from a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor console. Installation — Connect the PS/2-to-USB interface adapter to the console USB keyboard port on the switch front panel. Connect the PS/2 style mouse and keyboard to the appropriate ports on the adapter. IMPORTANT: If a USB mouse and USB keyboard are connected to the USB keyboard port on the switch front panel, do not use the PS/2-to-USB interface adapter to connect a second keyboard and mouse. Installation Performing a Side-Mount Installation 1. Remove the eight screws, four on each side, from the switch. 2. Attach the 0U brackets to the switch, using the screws you removed. 3.
