REMOVING THE OPTICS LOCKING SCREW Before using the scanner for the first time, remove the optics locking screw on the bottom panel of the scanner with a flat- head screwdriver. As the removed locking screw is necessary when transporting the scanner, insert it into the storage posistion, for future use. USING THE IEEE 1394 INTERFACE The driver software only supports IEEE1394 connection with Windows®2000, Windows®Me and Macintosh OS. This scanner has been packaged with the IEEE 1394 cable.
