About Your Drive with Thunderbolt™ Overview of the Drive For maximum performance, G-RAID TB comes configured as a ‘Striped RAID set’ or RAID 0. In this RAID mode, data is written or ‘striped’ across both disks, doubling both capacity and performance as compared to a single disk drive. Using Your Drive with Thunderbolt™ Easy Installation G-RAID TB attaches to your Mac with a Thunderbolt cable. Simply plug one end into the Thunderbolt connector on your Mac, and the other end into either port on the rear of G-RAID TB. Using Your Drive with Thunderbolt™ Disconnect the Drive A great feature of Thunderbolt technology and G-RAID TB is the ability to connect and dis- connect the drive while your computer is running. To prevent failures and/or data loss, it is important to follow the steps below when disconnecting or ‘unmounting’ the drive from your computer. 1.
