Preparing the Camcorder Attaching the Lens Hood E 1. Remove the lens cap. • When you purchase the XM2, the lens cap cord is attached to the middle of the Velcro grip belt. Preparations Protecting Tapes from Accidental Erasure E REC SAVE REC SAVE To protect your recording from accidental erasure, slide the tab on the cassette so that it exposes the hole. (This switch position is usually labelled SAVE or ERASE OFF.)
