Connecting the monitor cable After you plug in the monitor power cord, you connect the monitor cable to the computer’s monitor port. Your computer has two monitor ports: a high- density monitor port and a second monitor port. The high-density port accepts a monitor with a screen 16 inches or smaller (measured diagonally).
