Chapter 1 Introduction Congratulations on purchasing PLANET XRT-412. This Broadband Router is an IP Sharing Router that enables multiple users to share the Internet through an ADSL or cable modem. Simply configure your Internet connection settings in the Broadband Router and plug your PC to the LAN port and you're ready to share files and access the Internet. 1.6 Getting started This is a step-by-step instruction on how to start using the router and get connected to the Internet. 1) Setup your network as shown in the setup diagram above (fig 1.2). 2) You then need to set your LAN PC clients so that it can obtain an IP address automatically. Chapter 2 Quick Setup The Quick Setup section is designed to get you using XRT-412 as quickly as possible.
