Introduction Chapter 1 PRODUCT OVERVIEW The ADTRAN Router Option Module installs in the option slot of the TSU muliplexer family of products and provides integrated rout- ing capability access frame relay or point-to-point networks. Chapter 1: Introduction Network Address Translation (NAT) Single networks can connect to the Internet with this function. The Router Option Module translates outgoing IP packets over the T1 to the IP router at the Internet Service Provider. Popular Internet ap- plications are supported.
