Introduction This GSM Upgrade Kit allows you to upgrade the software in your Palm V™ Modem or IBM® WorkPad® c3 Modem. Upgrading your modem software enables you to connect your Palm V organizer or IBM WorkPad c3 to certain makes and models of digital GSM telephones. System requirements To upgrade the software on your modem, the following components are needed: ■ Palm V or IBM WorkPad c3 organizer. ■ Microsoft® Windows 95®, Windows 98®, Windows NT®. If you have a Palm V organizer, you can also use an Apple Macintosh™ with operating system 7.5.3 or later. ■ Palm Desktop 3.0 or later for Microsoft Windows. Deleting the Modem Utility application Once you have upgraded the modem software, you should delete the Modem Utility application to increase the amount of available memory in your organizer. 1.
