INITIAL WIRING CONSIDERATIONS For optimum performance, it is essential for the earthing system to be clean and noise free, as all signals are referenced to this earth. POINTS TO REMEMBER When using balanced connections use good quality twin screened audio cable. Check for instability at the output. Always connect both conductors at both ends, and ensure that the screen is only connected at one end. Do not disconnect the mains earth from each piece of equipment. Undo the 7 (1605) or 6 (1603) Allen screws using a 2mm Allen key. The fader panel can now be lifted clear of the subframe underneath. Take care not to bend the panel. MOVING THE REAR CONNECTOR PANEL It is possible to move the rear connector panel from its factory default position to its alternative location underneath the console.
