Installing The Modem HARDWARE INSTALLATION 1. Switch off the computer and all peripheral devices connected to it. 2. Unplug the computer power cord from the wall receptacle. 3. As shown in the diagram, there are jacks for connection to a phone and to a phone line. The connector labeled Line (Telco) is meant to be connected to a standard analog phone line.
