Bail Mounting the Chartplotter Use the included bracket to bail mount the GPSMAP 700 series chartplotter. You can route cables from under the mounting surface through the included bail-mount bracket, though it is not necessary. > > Installing the Power/Data Cable The chartplotter comes with a power/data cable that connects the chartplotter to power and to optional NMEA 0183 devices. If applicable, the power/data cable also connects the chartplotter to a sonar transducer. The power/data cable does not connect the chartplotter to a NMEA 2000 network. Connecting the Chartplotter to a NMEA 2000 Network (optional) You can connect the GPSMAP 700 series chartplotter to your existing NMEA 2000 network. You will need the appropriate NMEA 2000 cables and connectors, either to connect the chartplotter to your existing NMEA 2000 network or to build a NMEA 2000 network if you do not have one installed on your boat.
