Checking the Status of the Notebook The main status lights on the front of the notebook report power status, battery status, and hard disk activity. Table 1-4. Using Fn Hot Keys The combination of the Fn key plus another key creates a hot key—a shortcut key sequence—for various system controls. Resetting the Notebook Occasionally, Windows or the notebook might stop responding, so that you cannot turn the notebook off. If this happens, try the following in the order listed.
