Attaching the Magellan Maestro receiver to the Car Cradle Slide the Magellan Maestro receiver on the car cradle so that the slot on the Magellan Maestro receiver aligns with the tab on the car cradle. Slide the Magellan Maestro receiver all the way down until it rests on the 'feet'. You should notice a click when the receiver is fully mounted in the cradle. Numeric Displays a numeric keypad that can be used to enter streets or Keypad cities that have numbers in their name. (This is not to be used for entering an address number.) QuickSpell Another feature the Magellan Maestro receiver has to make entering cities and streets easier is a feature known as QuickSpell. In the example to the right, “CE” has been entered for a street name in Chicago, IL. The Magellan Maestro receiver has predicted that the street name may be Cedar Ave. Also it has greyed out any letters that could not be used to spell a street name in the database. This provides quick and error-free city and street name entry. 10

Map Screen The most commonly used screen is the Map screen. Whether you are following a route or just traveling around a city, the chances are that the Map screen will be displayed. The Map screen can be displayed in two unique modes: normal and routing. In normal mode, your position is shown on the map along with the time.
