Installing a Disk Drive Before you begin, ensure that you are installing the proper disk drive. The Adaptec ACS-100 USB Enclosure supports 3.5-inch IDE hard disk drives only. Note: You need a Phillips screwdriver to complete this task. To install a disk drive into your USB Enclosure: 1 Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws on the back of the enclosure. 2 Remove the enclosure’s back panel, as shown below, and slide out the disk drive tray. 3 Connect the disk drive tray’s internal power c

Disconnecting Your USB Enclosure To disconnect your USB Enclosure from your computer, follow the instructions for your operating system.
