HOW TO MAKE COFFEE 1. Remove the carafe from the recessed warming plate. Grasp the handle, lift it up, slide the carafe straight out. Open the lid, and fill the carafe with cold water to the desired level (fig. 20). 2. Open the drip coffee reservoir cover, and pour the water into the reservoir. Close the lid of the carafe and place carafe on warming plate. 3. Swing out the filter holder as per fig. 21. 4. Place paper filter into the filter holder (fig. 22).
