You can replace the batteries yourself as long as you do it properly to avoid any leakage of water into the battery compartment or computer. Always use original battery replacement kits that include a new battery, battery lid, opening tool and O- ring. You can purchase the battery kits from official Suunto retailers. 2. HOW TO USE YOUR SUUNTO S6 2.1. DISPLAY When your Suunto S6 leaves the factory, it is in the sleep mode, and its display is blank. You can then select which mode is displayed. Weather/Altitude alarm Active when the weather alarm, altitude alarm or Asc/Dsc alarm is on. Logbook Active when the logbook is recording data. Chrono Active when SkiChrono/Chrono is recording data. 3. MODES 3.1. GENERAL INFORMATION Suunto S6 has five different modes: Time, Compass, Weather, Skiing and SkiChrono. The symbols for each mode are displayed on the left of the display.
