SECTION III INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Installation should be performed by competent technicians in accordance with local and state codes. DRYER ENCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS Even though a 30-inch (76.2 cm) clearance is acceptable, it is recommended that the rear of the dryer be positioned approximately 3 feet (0.91 meters) from nearest obstruction (i.e. wall) for ease of installation, maintenance, and service. D. FRESH AIR SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS When the dryer is operating, it draws in room air, heats it, passes this air through the basket (tumbler), and exhausts it out of the building.
