Octaves Buttons An octave contains 12 notes. Each octave is marked out clearly on your Keystation 49e keyboard, by black and white sections starting on C. Each octave is given a number. The Keystation 49e is able to shift the pitch of it’s keys up or down by one or more octaves. Transpose works in the same way as Octave Shift above, except the shift is +/- 12. As with Octave Shift, there are two ways of transposing the keyboard. Trouble-Shooting Here are answers to common trouble-related questions you may have, using your Keystation 49e: Problem 1: My M-Audio hardware suddenly stopped working after having performed fine since installation.
