Cleaning the Printer Never use benzene, paint thinner, or other volatile solvents to clean the printer. Volatile solvents may cause deformation or peeling of the printer’s casing. To clean the printer, wipe it with a soft dry cloth. If stronger cleaning is required, wipe first with a cloth moistened with a dilute neutral solvent, then wipe again with a soft dry cloth. Proper Handling of Paper Please use only the paper types specified for use by Canon. Paper must be printed on the glossy side (the side without any printed markings). Always load paper into the cassette with the glossy side up. Loading the paper the wrong way may result in poor print quality, and in some cases may cause damage to the printer.
