Installing the Adapter Connecting the Network Cable Network connections for the NC7770 Server Adapter can employ existing Category 5 UTP (or better) cable for Gigabit over copper transmissions. For new installations, Category 5e (enhanced Category 5) or better cable is recommended. To secure the cable, plug the cable connector into the RJ-45 port.
