4. Pattern mode Playing patterns What is a Pattern? A “pattern” is a short segment of a performance that consists of Part(☞ p.22) rhythm patterns created by drum parts (drum sounds) and phrase patterns (melodic lines) created by synth parts. The EMX-1 lets you create and store 256 patterns. Each pattern con- sists of 16 parts.
