Getting Started Attach the Camera Strap First, charge the battery prior to use. Note that the battery of a newly purchased camera is not charged. To charge using a USB connection to a computer The battery loaded in the camera is charged whenever the camera is connected directly to a computer with the USB cable. • Depending on the setup of your computer, you may not be able to charge the camera’s battery over a USB connection. Other Charging Precautions • With the two charging methods described above, you can charge the camera’s battery (NP-80) without removing it from the camera.
