Please use Canon AA-size NiMH batteries and charger recommended for use with these batteries. Use of another charger may cause batteries to overheat or deform, posing risk of fire injury and damage to the surroundings. Disconnect the battery charger and compact power adapter from both the camera and the power outlet after recharging and when they are not in use to avoid fire and other hazards.
