Getting started Battery charging Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status (see the table below). If necessary, place the handset in the telephone base or charger to charge the battery. For best performance, keep the handset in the telephone base or charger when not in use. Getting started Add and register a handset You can add new handsets (DS6301, purchased separately) to your telephone system, but each handset must be registered with the telephone base before use. Getting started Replace a handset If you want to replace a handset or re-assign the designated handset number of a registered handset, you must deregister all the handsets and then individually register each handset. To make deregistration easier, read all of the instructions on this page before you begin. To deregister all handsets: 1.
