STEP 3 Install and Charge Handset Battery 1. Align the two holes in the plug with the socket pins in the battery compartment of the handset, then snap the plug into place. 2. Place the battery in the compartment. 3. Replace cover by sliding it up into place. 4. Place the handset in the telephone base. 5. Charge the battery for at least 16 hours before first use.
