Here are the steps to update your Uniden BCD436HP:
1. Open your computer's web browser and navigate to Uniden's official website.
2. Go to the "Customer Support" section and find the option for "Product Updates."
3. Look for the model of your scanner (BCD436HP) and click on the corresponding update link.
4. Download the update file to your computer. Make sure to remember where you saved this file.
5. Connect your scanner to your computer using a USB cable. Your device should automatically appear as a portable drive on your computer.
6. Find the downloaded update file and copy it.
7. Locate the Uniden scanner's storage on your computer (it should show up as a portable drive) and open it.
8. Paste the copied update file into the scanner's storage.
9. Safely eject the scanner from the computer.
10. Turn off the scanner and then turn it back on. The update should automatically install upon startup. If it doesn't, navigate to the menu and manually select the update option.
