You can turn the grid over to suit different thicknesses of food. You can place some dishes straight on to the grill shelf. To attach the handle, place the wirework under the cut out in the pan so that the metal plate hooks over the top of the grill pan. It is particularly useful when you are cooking soups, stews and casseroles because the long slow cooking will make cheaper, tougher cuts of meat more tender. Try to mop up spills and splashes as soon as they happen. But be careful as parts of the appliance will be hot. Do not use any polishes, caustic cleaners, abrasives, washing soda or soap powder except those recommended in this booklet.
