2 GETTING STARTED 2.1 Overview This chapter provides the information you need to begin using ADSP-21535 EZ-KIT Lite evaluation system. For correct operation install the software and hardware in the order presented in section 2.4. The EZ-KIT Lite evaluation system contains ESD (electrostatic discharge) sensitive devices. Electrostatic charges readily accumulate on the human body and equipment and can discharge without detection. Permanent damage may occur on devices subjected to high-energy discharges. Proper ESD precautions are recommended to avoid performance degradation or loss of functionality. 2.4.1 Installing the VisualDSP++ Software This EZ-KIT Lite comes with the latest version of VisualDSP++ for the Blackfin DSP family. You must install this software before installing the EZ-KIT Lite debug software. Insert the VisualDSP++ CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If Auto Run is enabled on your PC, the home screen of the VisualDSP++ install wizard will automatically appear. If not, choose Run from the Start menu, and enter D:\Setup.exe in the Open field, where D is the name of your l

3. Plug the provided power supply into P10 on the EZ-KIT Lite board. Visually verify that the green power LED (LED6) is on. Also verify that the two red reset LEDs (LED7 and LED8) go on for a moment and then go off. 4.
