1.1 ABOUT THE SERIAL ATA INTERFACE The Serial ATA interface provides several advantages over the traditional (parallel) ATA interface. 2.6 POWER SPECIFICATIONS The drive receives DC power (+5V or +12V) through a native SATA power connector.
